Bouncing Beans

Bouncing Beans is a musical toddler group introducing songs, musical instruments and movement to little ones. Sharing music with our children early on in their lives is really beneficial both to us and them. Music reaches us and teaches us in ways that can enlighten and inspire for a lifetime. It is a great tool for communication, creativity and cooperation. Listening is one of the key skills essential for learning.

The sessions are action-packed and 50 minutes long. There are traditional nursery rhymes with interesting hand-made and drawn bright props for the kids to interact with and play with. Story telling in these songs is crucial in developing their language skills and their enjoyment of words and simple tunes. Percussion instruments, balls, hoops, ribbon sticks are also used and every week the children are introduced to a new, unusual "Instrument of the week" from the Bouncing Beans collection. These never fail to provoke curiosity and delight!

Basic musical principles like rhythm, pitch and tempo are introduced in a fun way (as learning should be) through humming and singing scales as well as listening exercises with clapping games. Improvisation is encouraged too. Curiosity and enthusiasm is all that is needed!

"I would teach children music, physics and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning"

                            - Plato
